A virtual nature experience
When your enter the Room of Silence you will find yourself by a forest pond in autumn, where you can experience the peace and quiet of nature. Swans are setting off on their migration, fish splash about in the water and an elk moves around in the pond-side woods.
The Room of Silence, offering you a virtual experience of Finnish nature, is part of the permanent exhibition of Lusto.
Originally the Room of Silence was displayed in the Finnish pavilion at EXPO 2000, the World Exhibition in Hanover. Thanks to the Room of Silence, the Finnish pavilion was voted the best stand of the exhibition on three occasions. The virtual nature experience utilises ultra-modern technology that has so far been little used at museums and exhibitions.
