The practical affairs of the Finnish Forest History Society are the responsibility of the Executive Committee, elected at the annual general meeting. In addition to the chairperson, the committee comprises at least 6 members and at most 8 members.
The activities of the society are based on voluntary work by its members and on separate funding for projects. Activities are financed by membership fees, profits from membership events, and various grants and contributions received for example from the Metsämiesten Säätiö Foundation. Administrative work is carried out in cooperation with Lusto.
The expenses arising from study tours and other membership events are covered by participation fees and donations received from various partner organisations.
