The Finnish Forest History Society co-edited in 2006 the annual "Vuosilusto" (Annual Ring) in English "Essays on the history of Finnish forestry" about the long term development of the Finnish forestry, and in 2008 the annual "Metsien ja muistojen koneet”, an overview on the history of the mechanization of forestry. Members of the society have also been involved in editing a number of other publications on forest history. The next annual will be published in 2010.

The Forest History Society is preparing a picture book about the history of forest use. The work is funded by the Metsämiesten Säätiö Foundation.
Information on current affairs concerning the Forest History Society is published in the ‘Susikko’ membership bulletin, which comes out three times a year.
