Each year, the Finnish Forest History Society organises seminars and special lectures on topics related to forest history. These are open both to the members of the society and anybody interested in the field. In connection of the annual meeting the society annually arranges a short seminar with one or two presentations.
September 10th, 2009, a seminar with forest researchers was organised in Jyväskylä in central Finland; 100 participants.
In the connection of the annual meeting of the society, April 2nd, 2008, D.Soc.Sc. Jaana Laine gave a speech on the rules of the timber trade during the period 1919-1939, and further the Society organised a traditional session with forest history researchers.
